FACULTY

Program Director

Nicole DiCecco is the founder and director of the Suzuki Program Music School. Upon graduating from the Paris "Conservatoire" in France, Mrs. DiCecco received the "Fullbright" scholarship to continue her studies at the prestigious Juilliard School of Music, from which she received her Bachelor of Music degree. With a background of extensive playing in orchestras and chamber groups, Mrs. DiCecco has specialized for the past 32 years in the training of many young gifted violinists. Two of her students, ages 8 and 9, have performed in concerts with The New York Philarmonic; others have won numerous competitions. Mrs. DiCecco is active as a guest clinician in Europe and in the United States. She was a faculty member of the Manhattan School of Music for ten years. In 1982, she created "The New York Young Musicians' Ensemble". Under her direction, the ensemble has performed many concerts in the New York metropolitan area, as well as three highly acclaimed concert tours of Asia, Italy and France.

Mrs. Nicole DiCecco supervises the entire faculty. All instructors are graduates of music conservatories and are fully trained and certified in the Suzuki method of instruction. Experienced instructors trained in the disciplines of basic Musicianship and Music Theory, as well as experienced piano accompanists, complete the staff.
